“Growing into your future with grace & beauty doesn’t have to take all your time. It rather requires a dedication to caring for yourself as if you were rare and precious, which you are, and regarding all life around you as equally so, which it is.” Page 267-268 Victoria Moran, Younger by the Day: 365 Ways to Rejuvenate Your Body and Revitalize Your Spirit”

I love this book by author, Victoria Moran, and I have integrated many of her affirmations for my own personal wellness journey. I’ve found that taking good care of my skin really rejuvenates my spirit and helps build my confidence. Self love and care are so important to self esteem.  There are so many beautiful clean skincare products on the market today that I consider myself lucky that I can turn what some would call daily routines, into a treasured ritual of self care and beauty.

My current skincare routine consists of some of my tried and true favorite green beauty finds.

First thing in the morning,  I splash my face with cold water, gently pat dry with an organic soft cloth, then mist my face with Laurel Whole Plant Organics Facial Elixir. I follow with MV Organic Rose Soothing & Protective Moisturizer gently pressed into my moist face, neck and décolleté area.

Throughout the day I drink many glasses of spring water and mist my face often throughout the day. I leave a bottle of Leahlani Bohemian Ruby Balancing Toner mist at my desk and the scent also rejuvenates me.

At night I massage a few pumps of  Laurel Whole Plant Organics Face Cleaner, Clarity,  on my face, circling around my forehead, temples, cheeks, and chin to  get the blood flowing. I do this for a few minutes to loosen the makeup. I use a soft organic wet and warmed cloth to cleanse my skin.

I then rinse the cloth a few times with warm water and place it over my face for a sort of steam facial. It’s very comforting and calming before bed. I repeat 2-3 times. Then I splash my face with cold water and pat dry.

I mist my face with my Laurel Whole Plant Organics Facial Elixir and then apply three drops of Maya Chia Beauty’s Supercritical Omega-3 Chia Oil & two drops of The Super Couple Ultra Luxe Face Oil mixed together and pressed deeply into my face and neck.

These two combined are really powerful anti-aging products. Full of skin enhancing antioxidants and targeted essential oils that really sink in fast.

I don’t use an eye cream, I just press and tap in the two Maya Chia oils around my delicate eye area.

I have very sensitive mature skin that is prone to Rosacea. I’m very gentle when I apply any product and I make sure I’ve tested it ahead of time on a small area of my skin to be sure it’s a good fit and doesn’t cause any reaction.

I change my skin care products every couple of months and that seems to work for me.

Finding Beauty & Joy in Simplicity, has enabled me to live my own kind of beautiful life. Spending time in nature, reading , writing , research, travel & a holistic lifestyle are priorities. After of course, my devotion + love for my family, friends and the fact that I’m crazy about animals. My intention for creating Musings of Kathleen is to have an inspiring online journal of ideas for Beauty, Wellness, Style & Musings, for the Ageless Woman.
