I first discovered Osmia Purely Simple Face Cream when my daughter, Britanie Faith (founder of www.beautybybritanie.com) was sent the product via the monthly (awesome) green beauty subscription box: https://www.beauty-heroes.com

1.5 ounces $60. Cruelty-Free/ Vegan

I immediately loved it because of the simple pure ingredients. Being 59 with very  sensitive rosacea prone skin, the fewer ingredients I put on my face, the better!

Here is the full ingredient list: aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice*, [sodium olivoyl glutamate (and) cetearyl alcohol (and) glyceryl stearate], prunus armeniaca (apricot kernel) oil*, prunus amygdalus (sweet almond) oil*, lactobacillus ferment, vegetable glycerin*, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) oil*, ricinus communis (castor) oil*, GMO-free vitamin E oil, [sodium benzoate and gluconolactone], proprietary blend of organic and wild-harvested essential oils. 88.5% certified organic ingredients *=CERTIFIED ORGANIC

~Osmia Organics says: “This cream for sensitive skin contains simple, pure, plant-sourced ingredients and tiny amounts of the most precious essential oils, to give moisture with very low potential for irritation or adverse reaction. Organic aloe juice effectively hydrates the skin, and a small amount of organic, vegetable-derived glycerin helps the skin retain moisture. This cream has a low percentage of oil-based ingredients, making it safe for use if you have perioral dermatitis (use sparingly over areas of dermatitis).

FOR: Sensitive, reactive, and normal skin.

HOW: Apply to clean skin 1-2 times daily.  This product is formulated with natural preservatives, and should be used with clean hands to avoid contamination.  (You should never apply ANY facial products with anything but clean hands!!) Replace clear cap after each use. Shelf life is 6 months.

My thoughts: I’m a lover of all things green beauty. And because I have the opportunity to try out so many beautiful organic luxurious products, my skin get’s a “little” aggravated at all my enthusiasm!  Not to mention it doesn’t “hurt” that my daughter, Britanie Faith is sent some of the most highly coveted eco-friendly skincare collections from around the world. I can hardly help myself when she asks me to try out the newest and innovative products on the market! The only downside to this very lucky opportunity is that my fair sensitive skin gets rather irritated by all the various active natural ingredients.

I reached out to the highly respected and admired owner and formulator, Dr. Sarah Villafranco, for her opinion on how to “get my skin back” to it’s normal state. She wrote me back within one day and offered her opinion. Get back to the basics was the take away advice. And some very good wisdom was shared in regards to being careful of any food offenders that I could be ingesting that were adding to my flare up. She recommended that I try the Rose Clay Facial Soap for cleansing, with a few drops of Nectar Vital Rose Drops mixed in at night.

The results? After a few weeks of this routine, I’m happy to say that my face has significantly calmed down and I find myself looking forward to the ritual of preparing my skin for sleep. The Nectar Vital Rose Drops are heavenly.

~Osmia Organic Says: “By adding 3-4 drops of Nectar to your usual face cream or serum, you will notice that your skin is finally able retain moisture throughout the day. Organic oils of safflower, argan, prickly pear, and pumpkin seed work together to create a powerfully softening blend with a smooth, silky texture. Gorgeous rosehip seed oil helps diminish the appearance of chronic sun damage. Organic rose otto essential oil combines with wild, Australian sandalwood essential oil, and a touch of jasmine extract to create a heaven-meets-earth scent. The aromatherapy effect is profound, as well, easing negative feelings and opening the heart to healing, grounding, and self-love.

1 fluid ounce $98.
