Stop . Drop . Meditate.

We are so busy with our complicated lives that it’s difficult to even take ten minutes to do what I call the: Stop . Drop . Meditate . Moment

It’s really just a quick relaxation ten minutes (or even five), where you:

Sit in a comfortable position.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your nose.  Then close your eyes. Breath in for the count of five. Hold it for five seconds. Then slowly release your breath for the count of five again (through the nostrils).

Do this sequence for five times.

Then quietly focus on your regular breathing. Just let the random (sometimes annoying!) thoughts come, and then let them just go. Like clouds in the sky, let them pass right by. Come back to the breathing.

Let your entire body soften and fully relax. Obviously, do this meditation in a quiet place where you feel safe and protected.

When it’s done as part of a daily practice, Meditation has shown to lower blood pressure, body pain and stress levels. You can build up the time as you wish in your individualized Meditation routine.

If you find time to incorporate this small meditation/ reflection practice into your busy life, you will feel refreshed, rejuvenated, and happy that you created even five minutes for your own personal wellness.
